Tap the "Post Ad" button, choose the right category, then add a clear title, description, price, photos and your location. Review the details and submit — your ad goes live once it passes a quick automated check.

Open the listing you are interested in and tap "Chat" to message the seller directly through AdStar. Keeping the conversation inside the app helps keep both of you safe and gives you a record of what was agreed.

Yes. Creating an account and posting standard ads on AdStar is completely free. Optional paid promotions, such as Featured or Urgent placement, are available if you want extra visibility, with the price shown before you confirm.

Tap the heart icon on any listing to save it to your Favourites. You can find all your saved items later under the Favourites tab, even if you close the app.

Meet in a public place, inspect the item before you pay, and prefer cash or a secure payment on collection. Never share one-time passwords, bank details or card numbers, and be wary of anyone who refuses to meet or pressures you to pay in advance. Report suspicious users using the report button on their profile or listing.

Go to "My Ads", open the listing you want to change, and tap Edit to update the details or Delete to remove it. Once an item is sold you can mark it as sold so buyers know it is no longer available.
